August 1956 states "No live or synthetic exercises during the month in which the ADOC took an active part."

There were concerns about changing the method of displaying the "air picture" on the GSM using a "Broadbrush" approach. This file had top secret photos of the operations board which listed each RAF station and the number and type of aircraft it had, plus a photo of map of the British Isles with all the sectors coded using two letters, eg GZ.
